Here we are!
Our third UTBA trip to the Utah Shakespeare Festival has begun and it’s a bit difficult to contain the excitement. We’ve said so long to our day jobs and families, hopped in the car and made our way to Cedar City, UT.
So far we have Dave Mortensen (founding editor), Russell Warne (managing editor), and Paige Guthrie (social media manager) at the festival. Our primary staff scheduler, Amber Peck, will be joining us Friday night.
It’s an exciting lineup this week with TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD and MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR starting us off today. We’ve picked up the tickets and are about to head over to the Randall L. Jones Theatre, but I wanted to introduce something new we’re debuting this week.
UTBA has integrated with Instagr.am!
What does that mean?
Well, if you’ve got a smartphone and have installed the Instagr.am app you can now contribute to a weekly compilation post of Utah theatre images. In your photo description on Instagr.am just be sure to add #utahtheatre. Once a week we’re compiling ALL of those posts and will publish them on our site.
So, if you’re in a show, seeing a show, or are just taking some great photos of theatre in Utah, add #utahtheatre and we’ll link back to you!
Additionally, the UTBA Staff will be submitting photos in real-time to the site (right now we’re testing this at Utah Shakes all weekend). So check out our homepage to see the pics as they post. We’ll be expanding this section of our site VERY SOON!
