OREM — This morning we published our 1000th review, putting finish to a week of celebrations of UTBA. Here are some highlights:

On Monday, September 22 we had a panel on theatre criticism at Utah Valley University. Dr. John Newman moderated the panel, and the participants were Jerry Rapier (artistic director, Plan-B Theatre Company), Karen Azenberg (artistic director, Pioneer Theatre Company), Barbara Bannon (theatre critic, Salt Lake Tribune and secretary for the American Theatre Critics Association), Russell Warne (managing editor, Utah Theatre Bloggers Association and member of the American Theatre Critics Association), and Lisa Hall Hagen (faculty member, Utah Valley University theatre department).

We had nearly 75 people packed into the lobby of the Noorda Theatre, but if you were unable to attend the panel, you can watch it on YouTube at the link below:

The next Thursday UTBA readers attended the opening night of Utah Valley University’s Blood Wedding. After the show UTBA held a reception for audience members and the Blood Wedding cast and crew. The reception was UTBA’s way of saying thank you to some of our readers. We had a great time at the reception giving away tickets to plays and serving food. Below are pictures from the evening.
