Happy April everyone! Our group of writers, critics and theatre lovers are so excited about the many productions we are going to be covering in the upcoming month in the great state of Utah. We are so thrilled to begin a new tradition where each month we give a preview of what’s to come so that hopefully our readers can put these productions on their calendars and secure their tickets.

Of course there are lots of musicals to enchant and entertain. The Prom at WSU, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers at Hopebox, Pretty Woman and Come From Away at Eccles, Daddy Long Legs at Covey, Big Fish at SCERA, Pirates of Penzance at Heritage and The Hello Girls at Hale Orem.

Audiences can get their Shakespeare fix met with WVPAC’s production of Shakespeare in Love and 2 productions of The Tempest at BYU Arts (Youth Production) and USU.

For straight plays the state has much to offer including The Lehman Trilogy at PTC’s new Meldrum Theatre, Roe and The Wolves at SUU, and the regional premiere of Bald Sisters at SLAC
