Each year at the request of the theaters, the members of UTBA Committee see the UTBA-eligible, locally produced shows. They nominate and eventually select recipients “for outstanding achievement” in the following categories as applicable:

Definitions
A ‘Production’ is defined as the entire play or musical as an integrated, single work of art.
A ‘New Work’ is defined as a play or musical having its world premiere or is the first production after significant and substantial revisions to the script and is not based on a previous work (book, film, other theatrical event, etc).
A ‘New Adaptation’ is defined as a play or musical having its world premiere or is the first production after significant and substantial revisions to the script and is based on a previous work (book, film, other theatrical event, etc).
An ‘Ensemble’ is defined as the entire company of performers–principal actors and non-principals–that consist of at least 6 actors.
